Be in the Know About 2018 Design Trends

How would you classify your décor game in 2017? Good, bad, so-so?
At Carpetland USA, we want you to be up on the latest trends in home design. Feel confident to host family and friends and also experience the breath of fresh air that is 2018’s design style.
2018 will be classified by three trends: Powder pinks, metallic accents, and Wabi-Sabi. Here’s how you incorporate these concepts into your home.
Powder pinks. Muted pinks, corals, and nudes are very popular right now. Some say it is the way to bring light and color into our hectic world. It is best to utilize these shades in your design with throw pillows, blankets, curtains, and other fabrics. Because we are not certain about the longevity of this trend, we suggest not incorporating it in a more permanent fashion – like paint.
Metallic. Copper and other natural materials will be all the rage in 2018 because they add intrigue and dimension to your interior design. Copper and rose gold seem to be less ‘cold’ and ‘bleak’ than other metals like silver. So how do you incorporate these metallics? End tables, mirrors, and lamps are among the easiest and most natural ways to use metals in your space. Another subtle way to do this is by replacing knobs and kitchen fixtures.
Wabi-Sabi. Let us explain. Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese phrase that loosely means accepting and celebrating all that is imperfect and pure. That means the space is free of clutter, the linens in the room are probably wrinkled, and flowery, natural fragrances fill the air. If you’ve mastered the art of Wabi-Sabi, you should be able to walk in your room and breathe a sigh of relief – feeling at peace and relaxed.
