Welcome to the season of giving! At Carpetland USA, we take pride in our contributions to the community and are so happy our customers have been so good to us for decades.
Our family opened Carpetland USA in 1971. Since then, with the help of our amazing communities, we’ve grown into 9 locations across Illinois and Iowa. Though our selection has grown to carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl tile, and much more, we never forget our beginning. Our success stems from local shopping. When our customers realize they’ll never receive better, more personalized service than they will from us, it reminds us why we go above and beyond for our customers at Carpetland USA.
Small Business Saturday is November 26. Customer’s interest in participating has increased from last year, when only 42% of shoppers engaged. This year, Small Business Saturday is expected to engage 86% of consumer participation. People want a community connection when it comes to shopping locally; two-thirds of consumers said that small businesses engage them with their unique products not found at large retailers.
What’s even more interesting is that for every $100 spent at local businesses, almost $70 remains in the community. By comparison, spending $100 at a chain retailer only brings $40 to the community.
At Carpetland, we’re cognizant of how our decisions affect our community, too. That’s why, especially this time of year, Small Business Saturday is important not only for us, but our neighboring businesses as we are still challenged from the setbacks of the pandemic.
Join us in our efforts to make our community a better place. Shop local and support local businesses!
